Monument SWCD strives to award all projects to local contracting companies to distribute grant-related funds within our local community.

Monument SWCD develops and seeks funding for landowners within our district.  We partner with local land management groups to address Federal, State and Private conservation issues.  Our projects range from a few thousand dollars to hundreds of thousands of dollars. Grant funding is a competitive process.  Project contracting can be fencing, in-stream habitat, forestry and juniper management, technical consulting, and spring developments.  Monument SWCD strives to work with local land managers to meet their needs, while addressing the conservation goals of funding partners.
